Two injured after argument on George Street

SYDNEY CBD — Two men were injured overnight after an argument broke out between three men and security personnel on George Street, near Martin Place at around 1:30am.

It is understood that the argument spilled out of a bar and onto the street when one of the men, 25-years-old, was hit by a passing taxi and sustained a head injury. The man has undergone surgery today and is reported to be in a stable condition.

The mans friend, aged 23, was treated for cuts and bruises. Both men were treated at St Vincent’s Hospital.

Police are currently collecting statements from whiteness and will speak to the injured men once it has been deemed fit.
