Pedestrian critically injured overnight in North Sydney

NORTH SYDNEY — A 58-year-old man has been left with life threatening injuries overnight after being struck by a Holden Astra on the Pacific Highway at Walker Street.

It is believed the man was struck while crossing the Pacific Highway at around 9:50pm. He was stabilised on scene by paramedics and taken to Royal North Shore Hospital. The man has been placed into an induced coma.

The driver of the car, a 68-year-old male, suffered a broken nose and was also taken to Royal North Shore Hospital. He has also undergone mandatory blood and urine testing.
