Violent powerboat crash during Bridge to Bridge

BROOKLYN — The Sydney Newsdesk has obtained exclusive vision of a violent powerboat crash during the Bridge to Bridge on the Hawkesbury River today.

It is believed that the boat which belongs to Craig Truslove, was travelling at over 240 km/h when it flipped twice after rounding a bend. Seconds after the crash, rescue crews sprang into action sending divers from a helicopter above to rescue Mr Truslove who was only left with slight bruising.

Shortly after the first crash, a second boat rounded the very same corner when it hit a wave from a rescue boat. When hitting the wave, the powerboat was destroyed. The driver of the boat has been taken to Westmead Hospital.
